robot sheep

I'm a total Pinterest freak now. Just one more addicting internet site to add to the list. But maybe you should check out my virtual pin board, let me know what you think: me @ pinterest.com
I'm just getting started, so there's not a ton to look at, but it will pick up as my addiction starts to settle in. Which brings me to my next thought: I want a new hobby. You can't look at Pinterest and not want to start a new hobby. There are so many cool DIY projects, I feel like a consumer sheep: "Bahhh-I-will-mindlessly-take-that-over-priced-object-please." (In my head, sheep sound like robots who say bahhh).
I don't want just any hobby though. I want one that Seth and I can do together on a Saturday afternoon when we're not scrambling to do laundry or chores or grocery shopping or going to the temple. And I think I found it: refinishing furniture. I've been totally inspired by this girl who lives in Utah valley somewhere, and I just love her stuff! It's been love ever since I found her peacock desk:
Check it out at 551 East Furniture Design. She's totally brill.

No Boys Allowed

*Disclaimer: if girl parts make you squeamish, skip this post

Girls only! Just for this post, promise.

*If you are like me, you are always looking for a tampon during that time of the month. You'd think that after years of monthly panic, I'd start stashing them in purses, backpacks, glove compartments, jacket pockets, my work desks, you name it. Somehow I screw it up every time. So tonight, in my predictable horror, I discovered only one was left. Now, I don't know about you, but I found it comedic when wives would ask their spouse to go buy some lady toiletries for them, and it occurred to me that I finally had that opportunity! First time for everything, right? If nothing else, I really wanted to test what Seth was willing to do. It went a little something like this:

Me: Oh Seeetthhh...I kind of need more tampons...
Seth: I will not buy tampons for you tonight or ever.
Me: Blast.

And that was the end of that.

A new blog?

That's right. With marriage comes a new identity, politically (more details later), religiously, and virtually. Now that I'm a Morris, it doesn't seem right to continue blogging on G'Knight.

Get it? SMMorris-bord? Ah, I crack myself up.

We've been married almost 3 months. I still think about June 17, 2011 every day. Especially yesterday at Paul's wedding, which was absolutely beautiful.

Anyway, I will get to blog more now that we have internet finally, and let you know what we're up to. :)
